COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING XANTHORRHIZOL AS ACTIVE INGREDIENTS WITH IMPROVED WATER-MISCIBILITY

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a composition containing xanthorrhizol with enhanced water miscibility comprising a step of mixing xanthorrhizol with an emulsifier mixture of glycerol and polyglycerin fatty acid ester is provided to remarkably enhance water miscibility of xanthorrhizol without an organic solvent, and to ensure safety of the composition. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a composition containing xanthorrhizol with enhanced water miscibility comprises: a step of mixing 0.01-5% of xanthorrhizol and an emulsifier mixture containing 1-10wt% of glycerol and 1-10wt% of polyglycerin fatty acid ester; and a step of homogenizing the mixture by an ultrasonicator. The homogenization enhances stability. The concentration of xanthorrhizol is 40-70%.
