<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a change in chromaticity of an LED due to its change with the passage of time. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel comprises a liquid crystal display section including a display screen to show images and a backlight section for illuminating the back of the liquid crystal display section. The backlight section includes first and second white light-emitting diode which each emit white light and first and second drive section which each supply a current to the first and second white light-emitting diodes. The first and second drive sections are each configured so that the respective supplied currents to the first and second white light-emitting diodes can be adjusted. The chromaticity of the first white light-emitting diode and that of the second white light-emitting diode are opposed to each other across a blackbody radiation track in an xy chromaticity diagram. The first and second white light-emitting diodes undergo a change with the passage of time in such a way that an intersecting point of the blackbody radiation track with a line which the chromaticity of the first white light-emitting diode and that of the second white light-emitting diode pass through in the xy chromaticity diagram remains constant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
