RECORDING MEDIUM FOR IMAGE FORMATION AND PRINTED MATTER THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium for image formation and its printed matter in which a void and white streak of image have been controlled, and which have a very excellent glossiness and an excellent water resistance while having an excellent image formability.

SOLUTION: At least one side surface of the substrate is provided with an ink receiving layer that is formed by way of applying a coating agent including a crosslinked vinyl emulsion prepared by emulsion-polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising: (A) a monomer with at least two ethylenic unsaturated groups; (B) a monomer with a carboxyl group and one ethylenic unsaturated group; (C) a monomer with a 1-12C hydrophobic group and one ethylenic unsaturated group, and by processing the glossiness. The recording medium for image formation and the printed matter are characterized by the description above.
