<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil-type electronic component using a magnetic substance which can be produced at a low cost, and has both properties of high magnetic permeability and high saturation magnetic flux density. <P>SOLUTION: A coil-type electronic component includes a coil inside or on an element assembly. The element assembly in the coil-type electronic component is constituted of a group of particles of a soft magnetic alloy connected to each other via an oxide layer, and a plurality of crystal grains exist inside each particle of the soft magnetic alloy.
