<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic imaging apparatus capable of imaging an excellent stereoscopic image free from degradation. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic imaging apparatus includes: a polarization combining section (109L, 109R, P101, 111, 112) that converts two incident lights of parallax images from one subject into two polarized lights having different polarization directions, and combines the two polarized lights; camera optical systems (L2 to L8) for imaging the two polarized lights that have been combined by the polarization combining section (109L, 109R, P101, 111, 112) through a plurality of lenses; and a polarized light separating section (P102) for separating two polarized lights that have transmitted through the camera optical systems (L2 to L8) such that the two polarized lights are imaged on different imaging planes, respectively. The polarization combining section (109L, 109R, P101, 111, 112) converts the polarization direction of one of the two incident lights by using a λ/4 sheet 111 (polarization converting element) and a reflecting surface of a reflective mirror 112 to introduce to the camera optical systems (L2 to L8). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
