<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption in an energy-saving mode without increasing the number of signals (terminals) for power supply control. <P>SOLUTION: An LSI 100 having an energy-saving mode as a state of the device includes: a sensor (photosensor) for outputting an external request signal; a sensor power supply control circuit for generating a control signal to turn on/off the power supply of the sensor (by a FET); and a return condition monitoring section 201 for controlling the return from the energy-saving mode by detecting that the external request signal is asserted.
