The stainless steel connector (1) comprises a profile head for the connection of hollow sections (2) or components, which comprise a groove (3), on support (4), where the profile head is formed as a clamping nipple fixed by stud welding on the support. The clamping nipple has a welding end face (5) forming under head extension, which passes over a lower head calotte in an upper head section with an enlarged cross-section and has a welding tip on welding end face of the head extension. A cone is formed on the upper head section and is incorporated in a recess.
