PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a visible image in which color deterioration caused by influence of illumination light in a predetermined wavelength range is suppressed, using one imaging unit having sensitivity to visible light and the illumination light.

SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging unit 12 in which plural pixels having is arranged that are sensitivity to visible light and the illumination light in the predetermined wavelength range, and that image a moving image composed of plural frames; an irradiation unit 14 which irradiates the imaging region of the imaging unit 12 with illumination light; an illumination light control unit 16 which controls turning on and off of the irradiation unit 14; a selection unit 18 which selects a frame imaged in the turn-off period of the illumination unit 14, from among the plural frames imaged by the imaging unit 12; and an output unit 24 which outputs the frame selected by the selection unit 18 as a frame representing the visible image of the imaging region of the imaging unit 12.
