<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe unit having a gate valve mounting part and a branch pipe connecting part used for an earthquake-resistant pipeline to be newly laid and an earthquake-resisting replacement pipeline for an existing pipe with which a work amount when changing a flow passage in a continuously flowing state is reduced, and a method of installing a branch pipeline using the pipe unit. <P>SOLUTION: The pipe unit 3 suitable for construction in a continuous flowing state is connected to fluid pipes 1, 2 and includes a fluid passage 4 communicated with the fluid pipes 1, 2, and connecting parts 8a, 8b connected to the fluid pipes 1, 2. The fluid passage 4 is provided with at least two branch passages, and out of the two branch passages, a first branch passage 5 includes a flange 9 for mounting a gate valve 60 and a simple opening and closing valve 10 for opening and closing the first branch passage 5, and a second branch passage 6 includes a flange 11 for connecting a branch pipe 80 and a shut-off valve 12 for shutting off the second branch passage 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
