<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bead ring that can be reduced in weight while securing rotational stiffness, and is used for a pneumatic tire, and to provide a pneumatic tire having a light bead part with high durability by burying a bead ring as a bead core in the bead part. <P>SOLUTION: The bead ring is an annular body structured by arranging bead wires of a predetermined shape in parallel and in contact with each other in the width direction of the annular body and by winding the bead wires in a plurality of times into layers in the radial direction of the annular body.
