<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide setting system and method capable of eliminating complicated setting operation after connection, by eliminating the inconvenience of changing the setting of a portable terminal before connection. <P>SOLUTION: The setting system comprises: a portable terminal including an interface connecting with an external apparatus so that information can be transmitted and received; and a display device including an interface connecting with the portable terminal so that information can be transmitted and received, a display having a screen size larger than that of the portable terminal and an input section which allows for input of information by a user. During connection of the portable terminal and the display device, the portable terminal and the display device display a setting screen including the setting items for setting the state at least of the portable terminal, thus allowing the user to change the setting of the portable terminal by using the setting screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
