<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a secondary cooling in such a manner that a joint part formed by temporarily stopping the injection of molten steel in a casting mold during casting is not excessively cooled. <P>SOLUTION: When the injection of molten steel 14 into the casting mold 4 and the drawing of a cast slab 15 are temporarily stopped, and then, the injection of molten steel into the casting mold and the drawing of the cast slab are restarted for continuously casting, after the restart of drawing of the cast slab, a position of the joint of the cast slab is sequentially grasped. In each secondary cooling zone, when the range of 0-15m from the joint to the downstream side in the casting direction passes the secondary cooling zone, the amount of secondary cooling water in the cooling zone is adjusted to the amount of the secondary cooling water (α×Q) in which the amount of secondary cooling water (Q) calculated from the drawing speed of the cast slab is multiplied with a correction coefficient α(α<1.0) set to be relatively smaller as the drawing stop time of the cast slab is prolonged; and when the range of 0-15m from the joint to the downstream side in the casting direction does not pass, the amount is adjusted to the amount of secondary cooling water (Q) calculated from the drawing speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
