<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain with notch which prevents occurrence of a force for folding link members upon engagement with drive pins of drive sprockets and which prevents tooth jumping upon forward and reverse rotation. <P>SOLUTION: In the chain 110 with notch which makes notch parts 112 formed at first link members by coupling a plurality of the first link members 111 and second link members 117 alternately with coupling pins 118 in a chain longitudinal direction, engage with the drive pins of the drive sprockets, the notch parts 112 are provided at a chain inner periphery side of positions of the coupling pins 118, a shape of at least part of the notch parts 112 is formed in a J-shape when seen from a lateral side, comprising a linear part 113 that extends in the chain longitudinal direction and that contacts the drive pins when being engaged with the drive pins and a circular arc part 114 that exceeds a quarter of a circle from this linear part at a center side of a longitudinal direction of the first link members, and that contacts the drive pins when receiving power from the drive pins at a front side rather than the drive pins in the sprocket drive direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
