<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device capable of emitting plural luminous colors. <P>SOLUTION: An illuminating device 10 has plural first electrodes 32, 42 aligned on one main face (in an element region) of a transparent substrate 21 in a longitudinal direction of the transparent substrate 21, and extending in a shorter-side direction of the transparent substrate 21. Light emitting sections 33, 43 are formed on main faces of the first electrodes 32, 42, and a second electrode 22 is formed on the main face of the transparent substrate 21 to cover the light emitting sections 33, 43. A first power feeding section 31 connected to the first electrode 32, and a second power feeding section 41 connected to the first electrode 42 are formed at both shorter-side ends of the transparent substrate 21, respectively. The power feeding sections 31, 41 are connected to terminal sections 24a, 24c formed on one longitudinal end side of the transparent substrate 21, respectively, and supplied with a driving current from a control section 12.
