PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is necessary to perform setting on a television side by using a remote controller and the like for selecting whether a screen to be forcibly displayed is fully displayed by a One Touch Play function or only one screen is displayed by using a function which can display two or more screens and that much labor is required in a present CEC function.

SOLUTION: In a One Touch Play function, a message meaning that "video transmitted from a Source unit is forcibly displayed on only one screen of a multiple screen display" is set apart from a message transmitted from a Source unit side. When a Sink unit receiving the message has a multiple screen display function, the video of an input terminal to which the Source unit of a message transmission source is connected is displayed only on one display screen in the multiple screen display. The screens displayed till then are continuously displayed on other display screens.
