<p>PURPOSE: A maritime communication system and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to send text messages or e-mails to a family or friends on the land and to receive necessary content services in a ship. CONSTITUTION: One or more maritime communication servers (100) supply an SNS (Social Network Service) and content of a user terminal. A land communication server (200) performs communication with the maritime communication server through a satellite. The land communication server controls communication between users of the maritime communication server. A content server (300) supplies the content of an application through the land communication server. A management server (400) distributes applications installed in the user terminal. The management server controls an operation of the whole server.
