<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable wearing article provided with a chassis and side panels attached to the chassis, especially whose side panels can be kept flexible. <P>SOLUTION: In a diaper, the side panels 70 are connected with the chassis 10 through connection sheets 80. An inner region 82 of each of the connection sheets 80 is fixed between a sealing sheet 60 and an outer sheet 30 by bond parts 86 and 87. Its outer region 81 is fixed to one of the side panels 70 with a bond part 84 and its intermediate region 83 separates the chassis 10 and the side panel 70 in the lateral direction. Each of the side panels 70 has: a first sheet 71; a second sheet 72; an elastic body 73; an elastic region 74 which can elastically expand and contract in the lateral direction; and inner and outer non-elastic regions 75 and 76 which are positioned on both outer sides of the elastic region 74 in the lateral direction and do not elastically expand and contract.
