PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase in temperature of not only the inside air but also a coil end part of a stator, and improve cooling performance.

SOLUTION: A rotating electric machine of the present invention comprises: a stator; and a rotor oppositely arranged the inner diameter of the stator across a predetermined gap. The stator has: a stator iron core; a plurality of stator slots that extend in the axial direction and are formed at the inner diameter side of the stator iron core at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction; and stator coils attached in the plurality of stator slots. The rotor has: a rotor iron core; a plurality of rotor slots that extend in the axial direction and are formed at the outer circumference side of the rotor iron core at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction; and field members inserted in the rotor slots. The rotor iron core has an outside air ventilation hole to make the outside air ventilate the machine and an inside air ventilation hole to make the inside air ventilate the machine.
