AERATOR AND WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aerator, having excellent liquid circulating performance in an aeration tank, or the like.

SOLUTION: The aerator disperses liquid in the aeration tank, fall of the liquid onto a liquid surface produces air bubbles and the air bubbles are circulated in the liquid. The aerator is equipped with: a rotating part which is arranged so that at least a part soaks in the liquid in the aeration tank while used in the aeration tank and which rotates in a horizontal direction; and a draft tube which is formed to a cylindrical form and which is arranged so that a cylinder axis direction is a vertical direction and an inside space is located below the rotating part. The rotating part has a blade member for dispersing the liquid outside a radial direction of the draft tube by rotation. In the draft tube, a lower end is arranged so as to be remote from a bottom surface of the aeration tank by 0.2 to 1.5 m and a lower part is formed to an inverted taper shape with increasing diameter downward.
