<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation detector having an entire physical constitution smaller than that of a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: A rotation detector 10 includes: a rotation detecting part 11 which detects a rotational state of a rotor 40 and outputs a rotation detection signal; a signal transmitting member 13 which is electrically connected to the rotation detecting part 11 and transmits the rotation detection signal to an external device; and a body part 12 for holding one portion of the signal transmitting member 13 and the rotation detecting part 11. After joining a lead frame 11b of the rotation detecting part 11 and the signal transmitting member 13 together, the body part 12 is integrally molded using a first resin so as to include the joined joining portion 14, the one portion of the signal transmitting member 13, and the rotation detecting part 11, while two or more corners are exposed as exposed portions 11e among a plurality of corners constituting the rotation detecting part 11. According to the configuration, a physical constitution of the entire rotation detector 10 (in particular the body part 12) can be suppressed small without requiring holders and casing bodies as used in the prior art. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
