<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a head operation stop time period for drying the second ink when forming an image by the second ink, and then forming an image by first ink while superposing thereon. <P>SOLUTION: A controller forms a color image in a right half (a first region) of one frame by six paths and also forms a blank in a left half (a second region) by eight paths (refer to (c)). Then, it carries a printing medium S by only half of the frame in its carriage direction (refer to (d)), then forms a color image in the blank which was the left half region before carriage (refer to (e)). Since the number of paths to form the blank is smaller than the number of paths to form the color image like this, it is possible to dry white ink during printing, making use of a difference between the numbers of paths, and also it is possible to reduce a head operation stop time period for drying. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
