<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect a secular change of an elevator pulley groove, and to detect abrasion in the pulley groove. <P>SOLUTION: An elevator system includes an elevator car vertically movable in a hoistway, a rope for supporting the elevator car, and a pulley which performs rotational motion in association with movement of the rope, and further includes an encoder for detecting the number of rotations of the pulley, a position detecting device for detecting the elevator car, and a pulley groove diagnostic device connected to the encoder and the position detecting device. The pulley groove diagnosis device calculates a distance from a point where the elevator car is detected by the position detecting device to a point where the elevator car reaches a predetermined position inside the shaft based on the number of rotations of pulley obtained from the encoder, and further diagnoses a degree of abrasion in the pulley groove from a difference between a distance calculation result in an initial state and a distance calculation result obtained when a predetermined time elapses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
