AZIMUTH CONTROL DEVICE, WATER FLOATING BODY, AND ROLLING AND PITCHING REDUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an azimuth control device that reduces rolling and pitching of a body of a water floating body due to ocean waves.

SOLUTION: The azimuth control device 50 is configured to control the azimuth of a water floating body 100 rolling and pitching due to ocean waves. The device includes: a wave analysis part 52 that calculates the wave characteristics and the advancing azimuth of each wave constituting ocean waves; a preferred-azimuth calculating part 54 that calculates the preferred azimuth of the water floating body 100, which reduces rolling and pitching, on the basis of the wave characteristics and the advancing azimuth of each wave; and a turning control part 55 that turns the water floating body 100 towards the preferred azimuth.
