<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that although a resin component functions as a stopper for defining a telescopic stroke to be in a prescribed range, the resin component is expensive. <P>SOLUTION: In a position adjusting type steering column device for a vehicle, in which an outer column and an inner column are freely slidably fitted and which can adjust the axial direction position of the inner column to the outer column by reducing and enlarging the diameter of the inner peripheral surface of the outer column, a bush is fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the outer column, a flange part formed by folding one side in the axial direction of the bush to the outer diameter side is disposed on the end part of the outer column, and a flange part formed by folding the other side in the axial direction of the bush to the inner diameter side is disposed, wherein the flange part folded to the outer diameter side is engaged with an inner diameter side groove located on the end part of the outer column, upon secondary collision of the vehicle, the flange part folded to the outer diameter side is stopped on the end part of the outer column as it is and the flange part folded to the inner diameter side by the inner column is broken. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
