<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevating machine for newspaper packaging machines, which can easily cope with even the newspaper packaging machines having different newspaper discharge positions. <P>SOLUTION: The elevating machine 1 for newspaper packaging machines has a newspaper receiving portion 5 which is arranged adjacently to the newspaper packaging machine 40 for packaging the newspaper in a film and which is loaded with the newspapers discharged from the newspaper packaging machine 40 so that the newspaper receiving portion can be raised/lowered between a waiting position for receiving the discharged newspaper and an upper limit position higher than the waiting position.
