The panel (12) comprises a core (22) made from wood material, having a topside on which only a grounding (24) in the form of a synthetic resin layer is formed, and when required, a primer is applied, and which are pressed together with the core. The coating is applied to the underside of the core. The roughness of the topside of the panel is lower than 20 mu m or 10 mu m. A structure (28) is formed in the topside of the panel. The connection and locking devices are formed in one piece with the core made from wood material.
