<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle threading device capable of preventing a threader pin from being broken even when the threader pin does not pass through the eye of a needle. <P>SOLUTION: In a needle receiving member 34 of the needle threading device, a needle insertion hole 34c and a thread insertion slit 34e extending at an angle relative to the needle insertion hole 34c are formed. A threading member 42 is swingable between a position being spaced away from the needle receiving member and a position approaching the needle receiving member, and is urged by a spring 50 in a direction of being spaced away from the needle receiving member. The threading member 42 includes a threader pin 48b capable of pushing out a thread, which is inserted into the thread insertion slit 34e, through an eye 70a of a needle 70, which is inserted into the needle insertion hole 34c, when the threading member 42 is swung from the position being spaced away from the needle receiving member to the position approaching the needle receiving member. A cover 32 encircling at least part of the needle receiving member 34 is provided with an operating member 54 attached thereto so as to be swingable and a spring 56 urging the operating member 54.
