PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for inducing differentiation to nerve cells and a method for inducing differentiation to nerve cells.

SOLUTION: The medium for inducing differentiation to nerve cells is used for the differentiation of a multipotent stem cell to a high-purity neuroepithelial cell and contains a Wnt-signal agonist, a transforming growth factor β signal inhibitor (TGFβ-signal inhibitor) and a fibroblast growth factor signal agonist (FGF-signal agonist). The use of the medium can effectively shorten the differentiation time of the multipotent stem cell to the neuroepithelial cell and give neuroepithelial cells having high purity.
