PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase in traffic required for transmitting beacons.

SOLUTION: A wireless communication system measures an amount of traffic in communication with a wireless terminal device for each wireless communication method, determines a transmission period for a periodic signal to be periodically transmitted for each wireless communication method on the basis of the measured amount of traffic, generates the periodic signal for each wireless communication method according to the determined transmission period, and causes a communication unit to transmit the generated periodic signals.
