<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyvinyl acetal-based resin which has a high glass transition point (Tg), is excellent in transparency, water resistance, hater resistance, and a barrier property, and has a small optical distortion when molded. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the polyvinyl acetal-based resin partially or wholly modified with a rosin.
