<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve transmission control suitable in restricting the intensity of transmitted ultrasonic waves and to provide a suitable mode related to a transmission aperture in restricting the intensity of the transmitted ultrasonic waves. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of vibration elements having a mark T applied thereto among a large number of vibration elements constituting an array vibrator 10 are utilized as transmitting vibration elements in the transmission and reception of the ultrasonic waves by continuous waves and the plurality of the vibration elements having the mark R applied thereto are utilized as receiving vibration elements in the transmission and reception of the ultrasonic waves by the continuous waves. A transmission part 12 controls the array vibrator 10 so as to set a place deeper than an observation point P set as a noticeable place of diagnosis as a transmission focus point F to form a transmission beam. By this constitution, the intensity of the ultrasonic waves at the observation point P can be enhanced as compared with a case that the observation point P is set as the transmission focus point F and this constitution is advantageous in diagnosis from the aspect of intensity of the ultrasonic waves. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
