METHOD OF CALCULATING TRAVEL RANGE OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of more accurately calculating a travel range that is obtained by deducting an amount of energy consumption used for an air conditioning system other than the energy necessary for traveling a vehicle (motor driving) from the total amount of energy consumption of a battery.

SOLUTION: The method of calculating the travel range of an electric vehicle includes: a step of calculating an average fuel mileage in the past travel; a step of calculating an average consumption energy ratio of air conditioning in the past travel; a step of calculating an average fuel mileage in the past travel when it is assumed that an air conditioning system was not used, from the average fuel mileage in the past travel and the average consumption energy ratio of air conditioning; a step of calculating a fuel mileage of the current travel; a step of blending the average fuel mileage in the past travel when it is assumed that the air conditioning system was not used and the fuel mileage of the current travel; and a step of calculating the travel range from the fuel mileage obtained by blending.
