摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mode control planar waveguide laser device which generates laser light efficiently by stabilizing the resonator mode. <P>SOLUTION: A first nonlinear material 3 has a waveguide structure in the same direction as the waveguide structure of a laser medium 2, and has a single or periodic lens effect in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis and the thickness direction. A clad 5 is bonded to one surface of the first nonlinear material 3, and a heat sink 6 is also bonded via the clad 5.
