<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate a magnetic pole position of an interior permanent magnet (IPM) motor in a low speed region. <P>SOLUTION: A control apparatus 1 comprises: correction means 160 for correcting a d-axis current command; current detection means 10 for detecting current flowing through an IPM motor; position estimation means 20 for estimating a magnetic pole position in the IPM motor on the basis of the detected current; and control means for generating voltage commands on the basis of the corrected d-axis current command, a q-axis current command and the estimated magnetic pole position. Each of the voltage commands generated by the control means is formed by superposing a position detection voltage on a fundamental wave voltage for driving the IPM motor. Here, each of the position detection voltages has a cycle equal to an m-multiple of a switching cycle where m is an integer of 3 or more, and the respective position detection voltages have different phases from each other. The correction means 160 corrects the d-axis current command to maintain a salient pole ratio of the IPM motor at a threshold value or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
