<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give more stereoscopic effect by performing gradation printing by using metallic ink. <P>SOLUTION: An region detection part 72 detects a region having an area equal to or larger than a predetermined threshold value as a metallic region and detects the other region as a non-metallic region, in an image region of image data input by an image input part 71. A steric processing part 73 vectorizes the detected metallic region, divides a line connecting a contour after being vectorized and the center of gravity at predetermined intervals, and changes gradation data so as to adjust concentration of the metallic ink and gloss ink to a direction from the center of gravity toward the contour. Thereby, in a metallic ink printing region, metallic ink discharge is performed with an amount of metallic ink for forming gradation to the direction from the center of gravity to the contour.
