<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission system that keeps power transmission efficiency intact by cooling a receiving coil and preventing heat accumulation in the receiving coil. <P>SOLUTION: The power transmission system, which transmits electrical energy from a transmitting antenna (105) to a receiving antenna (201) via an electromagnetic field includes: an optical fiber (276) for optically acquiring information about either the transmitting antenna (105) or the receiving antenna (201) or information about both the transmitting antenna (105) and the receiving antenna (201), and guiding the acquired optical information; a photoelectric signal conversion section (278) for receiving the optical information guided by the optical fiber (276), converting the optical information to an electrical signal, and outputting the converted electrical signal; and a control section for controlling the transmitting antenna (105) on the basis of the electrical signal output from the photoelectric signal conversion section (278). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
