<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase in air volume to be sucked even when an anti-heating countermeasure is applied. <P>SOLUTION: The suction roll includes: a rotary roll body 12 opened with a large number of suction holes 13c; and a seal/suction circular region adjusting tool 14 internally fitted to a cylindrical portion 13 and in which a curved sealed portion 14a facing a seal circular region M of the cylindrical portion 13 and an opening 14b facing a suction circular region Q of an inner periphery 13a and an exhaust path 15 is formed thereinside. A sealing tool 17 is provided to each of long edges 14a-1, 14a-1 adjacent to the opening 14b of the curved sealed portion 14a of the seal/suction circular region adjusting tool 14, the seal tool 17 includes a flexible seal rod 19 provided to the seal/suction circular region adjusting tool 14 and advanceable/retreatable to/from the inner periphery 13a of the cylindrical portion 13, and a pressing tool 20 provided between the seal/suction circular region adjusting tool 14 and seal rod 19, and a sealing face 19c of the seal rod 19 is brought into slidable press-contact with the inner periphery 13a of the cylindrical portion 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
