<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tie bracket device for an elevator which achieves cost reduction by facilitating an attachment operation to a weight-side guide rail. <P>SOLUTION: The tie bracket device 8 for the elevator includes a tie bracket 9 and a pair of insertion members 10 provided in the tie bracket 9. The tie bracket 9 comprises a pair of retainer members 9a arranged to be separate from each other and a tie member 9b which ties the retainer members 9a to each other. Additionally, the tie bracket 9 is arranged in such a state that one retainer member 9a faces a back surface of one guide rail 2 of a pair of weight-side guide rails 2 for guiding a balance weight, and the other retainer member 9a faces a back surface of the other weight-side guide rail 2.
