PURPOSE: An MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) device which detects an NMR(Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) signal from an object to be detected, and a control method thereof are provided to consist of a noise removal unit which is movably installed on a supporting fixture where the object to be detected, thereby moving the noise removal unit according to a target position which is input by an administrator. CONSTITUTION: An MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) device includes a noise removal unit which is movably installed on a supporting fixture in the length direction of the supporting fixture, and which outputs sound waves that removes the noise which is generated outside and reaches a target position; and a control unit(113) which moves the noise removal unit to the target position, and which controls the noise removal unit to output waves for removing noise.
