PURPOSE: A display device is provided to allow a display to automatically enter into a power-saving mode by considering the usage status of a user, thereby saving energy and improving a user's convenience. CONSTITUTION: A sensing part(12) includes at least two sensors and detects a folded state of a display device(10) according to the difference between the values measured from each sensor. A control part(14) determines the power mode based on the usage status of the display device and controls a power supply part(16) according to this. If the display device is in a standby mode, the control part displays a power-saving standby screen on the screen of the display device or applies power to only a part of the component in the display device. |
