PURPOSE: An image display device and an operating method thereof are provided to simply and accurately input Hangul, thereby improving the convenience of a user. CONSTITUTION: A control unit of an image display device indicates a Hangul screen keyboard, which includes a first consonant set with a plurality of consonants, on a display(S810). The control unit selects any one consonant among the first constant set(S820). The control unit indicates a plurality of vowels around the selected consonant(S830).
