<p>The method involves creating an original digital audio test signal (1) comprising synchronization data followed by original measurement data. The signal is read by a digital audio apparatus (8), and a corresponding analog audio signal (13) restored by the apparatus is acquired. The analog audio signal is digitized to obtain a reconstituted test signal (16). The synchronization data are detected in the reconstituted test signal, and reconstituted measurement data are deduced. Distortion caused by the apparatus is calculated by comparing the reconstituted and original measurement data.</p> |
