METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SORTING NEWS ARTICLES IN ORDER TO SUGGEST OPPOSITE PERSPECITVES FOR CONTENTIOUS ISSUES

PURPOSE: An article classification method for providing opposing points for a disputatious issue and a system thereof are provided to classify articles without a manager, thereby supplying a classification result with high reliability. CONSTITUTION: Direct or indirect quotation in collected news articles and subjects of an action which is classified in a sentence which includes the quotation are extracted as a debater who participates in a debate(S22). Parties who are opposed to each other are identified based on a criticism relation between extracted debaters(S23). Debaters are identified into two debater groups based on a relation of the debaters and the parties(S24). Whether or not one of the two debater groups is biased is determined based on a quotation ratio or similarity for statements of the debater groups in the new articles(S25).
