<p>The method involves obtaining a metric that is representative of a quality of transmission of digital video stream i.e. TV program, by an intermediate device i.e. set-top box (3), for two evaluated sources of a set of sources (SRC1, SRC2, SRCN). A source is identified among the two evaluated sources by the intermediate device. The metric is utilized for checking a predetermined standard quality of transmission of the digital video stream. The identified source is selected by the intermediate device to provide the digital video stream to a terminal equipment. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program comprising instructions for providing a digital video flow (2) a recording medium with instructions for performing the method for providing the digital video flow (3) an intermediate device (4) a digital video stream supply system.</p> |
