The lighting column has a trap door (2) closing an opening formed in a wall of the candelabrum, and comprising a locking piece actuated by rotation of an axle. The axle has ends accessible from the outside and provided with a shape coded for a trap door operation key. A blocking mechanism blocks rotation of the axle and is actuated from the outside of the candelabrum. The blocking mechanism has an engagement piece e.g. bolt (9), actuated by an electric jack and engaged in a radial cavity (10A) of a receiving unit (10).
