PURPOSE: A device for single crystal growth and a growing method thereof are provided to reduce crystal defects by growing a single crystal using an auxiliary raw material member. CONSTITUTION: A crucible is charged with raw materials. A seed holder(300) is installed on the upper part of the crucible. The seed holder attaches a seed(200). An auxiliary raw material member(800) is installed on the upper part of the raw materials. A heating device heats the crucible.
