PURPOSE: A pH sensitive calcium carbonate hybrid nanoparticle, a method for preparing the same, and a composition for ultrasound contrast containing the same are provided to generate carbon dioxide gas by being dissolved at acidic pH concentration, and to be used as a contrast agent for ultrasonography with high sensitivity by conversion of calcium carbonate mineral into carbon dioxide. CONSTITUTION: A calcium carbonate hybrid nanoparticle contains calcium carbonate, and a copolymer containing a non-ionic hydrophilic polymer part and an ionic polymer part. The calcium carbonate and the ionic polymer part of the copolymer forms a core part. The non-ionic hydrophilic polymer part forms a shell part. A method for preparing the calcium carbonate hybrid nanoparticle comprises: a step of mixing a copolymer solution containing the non-ionic hydrophilic polymer part and the ionic polymer part, with a calcium chloride solution; and a step of adding a calcium carbonate solution.
