PURPOSE: An upper shield assembly and a sapphire ingot manufacturing apparatus including the same are provided to be used as biomaterials by changing a growing condition. CONSTITUTION: A fixing plate is arranged in a chamber. At least one rod(200) is downwardly extended from the fixing plate. A plurality of shield plates(300) are combined with the lower part of the rod. A location control part(400) is formed on the fixing plate or the shield plate. The location control part varies a gap between the bottom of a crucible and the shield plate.
