<p>PURPOSE: A device for estimating a channel based on a Golay sequence and a method thereof are provided to obtain a channel estimation result by using a correlation result by obtaining a signal generated from a reception signal in a transmission end. CONSTITUTION: A channel estimation device generates an addition signal by summing the synchronized reception signal with the delayed reception signal(1330,1340) and generates a subtraction signal by subtracting the delayed reception signal from the reception signal. The device calculates a Ga correlation value by crossing the addition signal with a Golay A sequence and calculates a Gb correlation value by crossing the reduction signal with a Golay B sequence(1350,1360). The device calculates a channel estimate(1380).
