The padlock (1) has a bolt (51) mounted slidingly in a boring and in an area of another boring (13) relative to the former boring. A control unit (6) controls displacement of the bolt from a locking position in which a bolt end projects in a traversing hole (12), and is received in a hole of a blocking element that is threaded previously in the traversing hole to a retracted position in which the bolt is disengaged from the hole of the blocking element to allow its withdrawal of the traversing hole. The control unit is placed in the latter boring. An independent claim is also included for a lock and blocking element assembly.
